“ELEMENT 6–7”
is part of the experimental series “ELEMENT”, which explores the hidden aesthetics of nature at a microscopic level. In this series, I attempt to build an emotional and visual connection between nature and the human being at an invisible scale: the nano realm.
The work is based on microscopic imagery of the Oleander plant. Despite its delicate appearance, the oleander is a highly toxic yet widely spread plant. Under the microscope, its structures reveal a striking duality at once fragile and dangerous. This dual nature where beauty and peril coexist - is one of the core ideas in this piece.

“ELEMENT 6–7” consists of two fragments forming a 54-second nano-video artwork. The visuals were captured using an electron microscope, and no color manipulation has been applied the plant's natural hues are preserved exactly as they appear. This choice reflects a respect for nature’s original form and advocates for a non-intrusive approach to visual art.
As the visuals flow at a microscopic level, light- a constant presence resembling internal lightning- pulses through the imagery, becoming more than a mere effect. It is the visual embodiment of the energy beating within these living structures. This internal glow continuously evokes the unresolved tension, turbulence, and mystery hidden within the depths of nature.

The ELEMENT series is a visual investigation into the unseen layers of the natural world. These works invite us into a realm beyond the limits of ordinary perception a microscopic universe where form and energy speak their own language.

“Element” is a nano-video art piece by artist Nargiz Asgarova, delving into a close, emotional relationship with nature. Through abstract and poetic visuals, the work invites the audience to reconnect with the raw elements of the natural world. The screening will be accompanied by live experimental house music from DJ Ganzee, performed during the event, creating an immersive atmosphere where sound and image continuously interact, blurring the line between visual art and live performance.

The visuals were captured using an electron microscope.
